Author Guidelines

General information relevant for the submission of a "Varia" article and for the proposals of a thematic issue (at the end of this section you can find a part specific to "Varia" articles and a part for the proposals of a thematic issue):

Papers can be written in the following languages: English, French, Italian, German, Spanish. Abstracts must be written in English.

It is the responsibility of the contributors to ensure that the texts are free of spelling and/or syntactical errors. All references cited in the text must appear in the bibliography, and vice versa. The list of bibliographical references has to strictly respect the conventions set out by the journal. The journal may refuse an article if these requirements are not met.

It is the responsibility of the editors and contributors to ensure that all permissions have been granted for the use of material from other sources. The journal cannot be held responsible for the reproduction of content that does not respect copyright.

Authors also undertake to submit only research that complies with UNESCO's recommendations on scientific ethics.

Finally, authors undertake to ensure that their contributions have not been submitted to or published in any other journal.

The writing instructionsfor the authors of an article can be downloaded here.

A stylesheet is available here.

SUBMISSION OF A "VARIA" ARTICLE

Once your contribution has been submitted, the editors of the journal will mandate two scientific experts to anonymously evaluate the quality of the contribution.

When submitting an article, authors are asked to indicate the following information:

- the title of the article
- a brief description of its content and the research area(s) concerned
- the affiliation and status of the author(s)
- a statement that the submitted article respects copyright, has not been previously published/submitted and respects the recommendations on scientific ethics (the author will be held responsible for any breach in any of these areas)

The proposed contribution must respect the following points:

- The article should be titled as follows: TRANEL_Varia_AuthorName.doc
- The article must be completely anonymous, so that the author cannot be identified by the reviewers.
- The article must scrupulously respect the instructions given to authors.

If these instructions are not followed, the article will be returned to the author without being submitted for review.

PROPOSAL FOR A THEMATIC ISSUE

Once a proposal for a thematic issue has been submitted, the journal's scientific committee will evaluate it. If the issue proposal is accepted, the editor will then be responsible for assigning two experts to evaluate the quality of each contribution.

The editor is invited to submit the following documents:

- a description of the theme and objectives of the issue, clearly indicating the research area(s) concerned
- the list of articles in the issue (title, name and affiliation of authors)
- a timetable specifying the different stages of the publication process (this timetable will be the responsibility of the editors and must therefore be strictly respected)

Once the issue proposal has been accepted, the editor agrees to respect the following specifications:

- to manage the review process of the contributions
- to check that each contribution complies in every respect with the instructions given to the authors: the texts have to be free of spelling and syntactic errors, the bibliography needs to be coherent (all references cited in the text must be cited in the bibliography and vice versa) and follow the conventions of the journal, the texts have to respect the page layout standards.

> FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THESE GUIDELINES WILL RESULT IN THE ARTICLE BEING RETURNED TO THE EDITOR

- check that contributions have not been previously published and that they are not submitted to other journals
- ensure that all permissions have been granted for the use of material from other sources
- ensure that the research presented in each contribution complies with UNESCO's recommendations on scientific ethics.

The journal cannot be held responsible for any copyright issues and/or breaches of scientific ethics.
