Several studies focused on the efficacy of a treatment aiming a component of WM and its near transfer effect to WM as well as its far transfer effect to oral comprehension. Results vary from a study to another and more studies must be conducted in this field. The aim of this study is therefore to investigate the efficacy of a therapy aiming WM through a sentence repetition protocol on the ability of a person with conduction aphasia in: 1) sentence repetition, 2) WM (near transfer effect) and 3) oral sentence comprehension (far transfer effect). The therapeutic protocol is inspired from the study of Eom and Sung (2016) which uses a decontextualised vocabulary to increase the charge on WM. A case study using the ABA design with multiple baselines was conducted. Results show a significant improvement in sentence repetition as well as a generalisation effect to untreated items. This improvement was maintained one month after the end of the treatment. However, no near transfer effect to WM or far transfer effect to oral sentence comprehension was found.</p> ER -
